A name, telephone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the third-party company that supplies those results. Our servers do not retain a copy of the search itself. When you contact us, we receive the details included in your message and use them to answer your request.
Information Collected Automatically
The hosting service records standard technical logs, which can include an IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. We review combined statistics to maintain the service and understand which resources visitors use. Basic analytics and, when applicable, advertising measurement may rely on cookies or comparable technology.
How Information Is Used
Limited visitor information helps us operate the service, diagnose errors, measure traffic, and improve content. We neither sell lists of visitors nor create profiles about individual users.
External Websites and Services
Links may lead to Duval County and Florida records portals, libraries, archives, or outside search services. Information submitted after leaving this service is governed by the destination's privacy policy. Sponsored search results are also furnished by a third party under that provider's own terms and practices.
When Information Is Shared
Companies that host or support the service may process technical logs on our behalf. Analytics and advertising providers can receive the automatically collected information described above. We may also disclose information when required by valid legal process; we do not otherwise disclose it.
Safeguarding Visitor Information
An encrypted connection protects data in transit, and technical logs are retained only while needed for the purposes stated above. Because Duval County Residents Directory offers no user accounts, it stores no visitor password or account profile.
Visitors Under Age 18
This service is intended for adults, not children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If you believe a minor submitted information to us, please contact us so it can be deleted.
Your Florida Privacy Rights
Privacy rights vary by residence and by the law that applies. The Florida Digital Bill of Rights, Fla. Stat. §§ 501.701-.722, provides eligible consumers with rights involving personal data handled by covered controllers, subject to the law's scope, exceptions, and verification rules. It is not a blanket right to erase government records. Because we retain very little visitor information, a request generally involves checking our contact mailbox and available server logs, then correcting or deleting information when applicable. Records held by Duval County, Jacksonville, a Florida state agency, a court, or another public custodian remain outside our possession and control. Florida Public Records Law, Fla. Const. art. I, § 24 and Fla. Stat. ch. 119, governs access to those government records and incorporates specific exemptions. A request to amend, redact, or restrict a public record must be directed to the office that maintains it and will be decided under the law applicable to that record.
